The Concordia Undergraduate Journal of Art History is currently seeking out executive team members for the upcoming 2021/2022 academic year! We encourage anyone interested in gaining professional experience in writing, editing, journal publishing and/or event coordination to apply.
We are currently seeking applications for the following positions:
Orchestrate and oversee all editorial activities
Work alongside the Editor-in-Chief in all aspects of CUJAH vol. XVIII
Work on CUJAH’s archive project
Shadow Editor-in-Chief to assume role in the successive academic year
Organize and coordinate the annual CUJAH conference
Arrange call outs and jurying of submissions
Search for speakers for professional panels
Secure room bookings and catering
Work directly with the Editor-in-Chief, Communications Coordinator and collaborators
Hourly wage to be discussed
Handles all financial matters related to the journal and conference, including grant writing, invoices, and payment requisitions;
Works directly with and is assisted by the Editor-in-Chief and Conference Coordinator;
Ensures that CUJAH obtains the proper rights to use images in the printed and online versions of the journal by contacting artists, museums, galleries or right-owners;
Participates in a democratic and anonymous selection of features, essays, and artworks to be included in publication;
Attends monthly meetings of the Executive Committee, and as such, has a vote within the Executive Committee.
